What is EPKhosting.com?

EPKhosting.com is a web hosting company that caters to the independent Canadian music industry with an online video blog magazine “The Ongoing Music Documentary” covering Canadian artists in the form of EPK and live video podcasts and written reviews.

How can I get covered by The Ongoing music documentary?

You can submit your band or solo act to our editor for review by using our online form provided that you have a website (myspace and the like are fine) or you can mail your press kit to our headquarters.

Do I qualify to get covered?

One of the following must apply;

• Canadian Artist
• Performing a Canadian Event
• Signed to a Canadian Record Label

All of the following must apply;

• Online presence, i.e. official website or youtube or myspace or facebook, etc.
• Commercial release available online, i.e. CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Will i get a copy of the video for my own use?

Currently, the costs of providing master copies is not covered with our budget. We ask you to link to your official post at www.epkhosting.com/yourname

Please use teaser trailers available on community sites for your own web site.

Alternatively, artists have the option of buying back the original footage tapes and hiring our editing services for full ownership, giving the artist the freedom to produce a commercially released DVD.

What is the policy in regards to sharing the video?

We make teaser trailers of the videos publicly available on Facebook, YouTube and MySpace
Full versions of all videos are hosted exclusively by EPKhosting.com

What do you need from me to get covered?

• 2 media passes or v.i.p. passes
• An announcement of the video release during stage performance
• Space at your merch table for leave behinds, i.e. stickers, business cards, flyers, etc.
• Sign off on the video release form
• A link back to the official web site where ever video appears

How is The Ongoing Music Documentary marketed?

• Printed Materials are distributed at events and showcases
• The official website is always being optimized in search engines
• The blog is cross posted to our community accounts, i.e. Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube
• We also manage a mailing list of more than 400 subscribers

How much exposure will I get being covered?

• The average site traffic is between 6,000 to 10,000 hits per month
• The average viewer comes to the official web site for one video but views several others

Do we film any shows other than our own?

EPKhosting.com started covering shows conducted by other promoters and is always looking to form new alliances. We do our best to assist other promoters to interface with our project by developing blogs, producing videos, and cross-promotional marketing. Does the ongoing music documentary need any contributors?

We are always looking to add to our team. If you are a photographer, cinematographer, blogger, journalist, or web developer looking to collaborate, gain exposure, get press passes and experience, we would love to hear from you.

Do we film outside of Toronto or Canada?

Although EPKhosting.com is based in Toronto, it does service productions outside of Toronto and Canada for an additional traveling fee. Contact us for a quote.
